GOTHAM KNIGHTS

WB GAMES

Integrated Campaign
WB Games and their development Studio WB Games Montreal needed a partner to concept, create, and support the Gotham Knights launch including website, packaging, key art, digital storefront, social posts, brand development and additional graphic design support. In close collaboration, we positioned ourselves as an extension of their internal team.
We developed the website for Gotham Knights leaning on the motifs of neon noir from the game, and adding in a bat-computer like vibe and honeycomb tech elements on the character pages. The site had to capture the look and feel of the game while feeling polished and elevated. I was art director and designer before handing off to our dev department.
Deluxe Edition Key Art
Warner Bros. Games needed a deluxe edition key art and logo. We decided to reuse the standard edition versions for a consistent family look. I updated both logos, and oversaw the art direction of the color twist for the deluxe edition artwork, bringing in a rich golden hue that complimented the deep blues and purples of the standard edition and felt fresh and elevated. This was used across all assets, packaging, and promotions.
Collector's Edition Packaging
While we have been slowly making the shift away from physical packaging, Collector's Editions are still a hotly sought after commodity, targeted at the most ravenous of fans. Working hand-in-hand with the studio, I was in charge of concept, art direction working with a finisher, hands on design and refinement, and mechanical for print production.

Brand Guidelines
Consistent guidelines are a cornerstone to any brand or campaign. We were given a rough brand guide from earlier in the game development, and needed to create a robust brand guide document, blow out and refine the original guidelines, create and add in all of the deluxe edition design guides, and set up cropping and logo placement for digital storefront. The entire document ended up being over 70 pages, and incredibly detailed. Here are some example pages:
BEAUTY SHOTS
We provided supplemental design for beauty shots, social content, and digital graphics. I did hands-on design work problem solving how to visually describe complex offerings that stayed true to the brand guidelines we were developing.
My Role
As Senior Art Director, my role included ideation and concept, art direction, hands-on design, copy, client liaison.
